Current felling and thinning works

Much of our felling work this year has taken place in the northern area of the woods: we have felled much of the non-native species in favour of Broadleaf species.

Conifer is an excellent and sustainable biofuel source. Planting and ultimately harvesting conifer is a great way of creating a sustainable source of revenue for Woodland Management for the foreseeable future. So we will continue to thin the areas of conifer.
